About the bizmo

The Music

Everybody here has music business backgrounds. Some of us were in bands and some of us were humble roadies. Others were not so humble concert promoters and artist managers, giving us a great cross section of music business experience.

The Technology

After some of us had finished messing around in bands, we fell back onto our IT skills and got real jobs. We were part of the software team that conceptualized and built one of the world’s first digital download services ‘freetrax.com’ and then moved on to build the world’s largest mobile music service groovemobile. This experience made us realise that what the next generation of the music business needed was a simple 360 degree device to sell and market everything music – so we built thebizmo.

The Money

We are backed by a number of venture capitalists including the German publishing house Burda, the Boston based East Coast Angels and Scandinavian venture fund Northzone. These companies represent some of the best tech funding available – we love them!!
