RESELLERS Explained
Making your fans and audience your business Partners.
Reseller, definition: fan or internet surfer, who either copies your store or has a bizmo store of his/her own and sells your music for you.
Consider this statement:
Who is better placed to market your products than your fans?
The correct answer is of course that a real fan is your absolute best marketer.
So your bizmo microstore offers you two different ways of getting your fans to help you.
1. Copying your store and putting it on their pages
This is the simple approach. You simply ask your fans to copy your bizmo microstore using the copy feature and then paste it on their pages. Maybe you can hand out some kind of incentive for the fans who do this for you. The upside is that this approach requires almost no effort from your fans and sales don`t pay the fan a commission. The downside is that the fans who do this are not drawn in to the process of selling since they will not be getting the emails that tell them about sales they have made and remind them of the money they now have in their bizmo accounts.
2. Registering a store of their own where they can sell your music by choosing it backstage.
This approach is more expensive for you as an artist because the reseller cut comes out of your cut. However you get to talk directly to your resellers through the back office systems and also track their progress. This means you can run all sorts of marketing programs directed at your best reseller etc. It also enables the resellers to buy your stuff with the money they make, so in our experience you will probably end up getting it all in the end anyway.
